St. Mary's church ruins, Little Chart.

Weather - Dry, warm and clear night.

Investigators - Jackie, Rose, Terry and Paul.

A strong presence was felt at the front of the church ruins, some of the team had a chocking effect.

Jackie saw the spirit/ghost of a lady aged late 30's by the front of the church, about 6feet from the Altar. The lady was wearing a white blouse and long black skirt.

The blouse had a Cameo broach at the neckline. The lady's hair was worn back, with 'puffy' sides (backcombed sides), then back into a bun. She was carrying a stick and seemed to be worried and panicking. The name of Lillian was given.

Rose also saw the spirit/ghost of a lady, near the Altar. (maybe the same one as Jackie?) The lady was in her late 20's to early 30's. Wearing a white blouse, with a broach and long black skirt. The lady's hair was worn back in a bun. She wore Victorian boots, which were pointed and narrow at the toes. Rose said the cloths reminded her of riding clothes. She saw the lady carrying something like a whip, used for riding. Rose also said the lady appeared to be panicking, hiding and worried.

At the back of the church by the trees. Jackie saw the spirit/ghosts of lots of soldiers, wearing Grey uniforms, relaxing. Some were lying down. But there seemed to be lots of chattering, but she couldn't make out what anyone was saying.

Walking back to the church Jackie heard someone call "Hello", but there was no one around, other than the group.

Paul heard a gruff voice and someone coughing.

Whilst sitting on the bank, Jackie began to see the soldiers marching from the bottom, where she had originally seem them, marching towards the road. She then heard someone shouting "left, left". Jackie then saw a soldier sitting on the bank, with his foot to knee missing and was given the name of George Hartley.

Terry and Paul saw some kind of 'energy'. They described it as being grey in colour with a shimmering effect and similar to when moisture in the ground is drying on a hot day, looking like a steam. About 2 ft.  wide and 6ft. tall by the side of the church, near the back of the tower. This was quite interesting as they are both sceptics. Unfortunately Rose and Jackie missed this as they were in a different part of the site.

We performed a séance and as we asked spirit to give us a sign of their presence, there was a loud bang. We asked again for a sign and again heard a loud bang which was quite exciting. Unfortunately it was obvious it was fire works as the bangs continued.

Conclusion - It was an interesting and enjoyable night. We picked up on spirit and some 'energy' but unfortunately we didn't manage to get any concrete evidence of paranormal activity on photo or tape.
