Sid The Spook - Our ghost/Spirit haunting

After my family moved in to the house, we noticed that my eldest (4) started to play with an imaginary friend. We asked a few people what they thought and they said that it was quite normal behaviour, so we just dismissed it.

We then started to notice shadows moving around the house on odd occasions.

One morning my eldest son stepson (19) went down stairs and walked into the dinning room, but was stopped in his tracks by the room being filled head high with a blue smoke. He immediately called up to us to come down, which we did in a matter of seconds, but the room had completely cleared.

Another occasion while I was at night work. My wife was in bed, with our youngest (3).  When she was suddenly woken by a door banging shut, she then heard foot steps on the landing, then the door handle started rattling. My wife and son sat up in bed and both started to shiver as the room went icy cold. No one else apart from my eldest (4) was in the house. My wife went to check on him and found him fast asleep. The other children were staying at there dads house, no one else had a key.

After a period of time, with cold rooms and other strange things happening, we decided to call our visitor "Sid The Spook," which our friends found very comical.

On another occasion, my wife and I were in the kitchen making a hot drink, so the  kettle was on. We watched it boil, then both  made a moved towards the kettle to make the drinks, only to see the switch go back down and start to boil again. Sid was making sure it was boiled. lol.

On an other occasion, my wife, stepdaughter (16) and I were sitting on sofa. A friend who was very much a sceptic was sitting on a chair. We had a mirror above the fire place, which the sofa faced. My wife and I both spotted a reflecting shadow move across the mirror at the same time, we both looked above our heads but couldn't see any thing.  The room chilled slightly which was also noticed by my friend because he said "What was that"?  I replied "Oh it's just Sid the Spook".

There were some kids toys besides the sofa. Suddenly one of the toys started to play music, which made my stepdaughter scream. I just laughed, and said it was Sid. I then said "Sid if that's you and you are in the room, would you play it again?" and sure enough the musical toy played again. The toy in question did have a cushion on top of it at the time, so I got up and moved the toy to the middle of the room away from everything else and sat back down again. I then asked Sid if he would please play it one last time, and sure enough he did. The toy played the music again. I must add at this point, that the buttons you press to make this toy play, were quite hard to press down. Needless to say my friend was speechless and didn't know what to say.

Some time later, after we had moved to Ashford. My eldest then five was away from school, and at home when my wife had a friend round. We were all sitting talking about Sid the spook and about the toy that played music. My son suddenly piped in and said that it was his toy and rushed off to get it. When he came back he had the exact same toy that was played. No one had told any of the younger kids about Sid the spook or mentioned him in front of them so as not to frighten them. Puzzled we asked him how he knew. He told us that his friend had told him, his invisible friend. When we asked if he still saw his friend, he said "No, not anymore, not after the men put her in the ground!!!!!!!!!!! this was from a 5yr old
